Cameron Custom was founded on the belief that luxury is deeply personal – and now, with the debut of our first-ever spec home, we’re showcasing just how tailored high-end living can be. Set within one of Scottsdale’s most exclusive enclaves, #WhisperRockHaven is a modern statement of intentional design and timeless materiality.

At the foundation of this residence is a custom-designed interpretation of Camelot Homes’ award-winning Cheval floorplan, reimagined and elevated by our team at Cameron Custom. Known for its seamless indoor-outdoor flow, the plan spans over 5,000 square feet and features four bedrooms, a private guest casita, a dramatic great room, and expansive glass doors that invite the outdoors in. We chose this layout for its perfect balance of form and function – offering both architectural elegance and everyday livability. It’s a reflection of our design-forward philosophy and the enduring craftsmanship that has defined our parent company –  Camelot Homes – in the Valley for more than five decades.

This home marks more than just a milestone for our custom building division – it represents a fresh vision for spec homes in the luxury market: curated, considered, and never cookie-cutter.

To bring that vision to life, we partnered with Guided Home Design, whose thoughtful interiors balance clean lines with warmth and sophistication. Together, we crafted a residence that reflects today’s most coveted design movements while offering enduring appeal.

On-Trend, On Purpose: The Rise of Calacatta Viola

At the heart of the homes is a bold material choice: Calacatta Viola marble, featured prominently in the kitchen, great room fireplace, primary bathroom and casita. With its dramatic veining and painterly burgundy tones, Viola isn’t just a stone, it’s a conversation piece.

“Viola is what we’d call the statement stone of the year,” shares the design team at Guided Home. “It’s luxurious but unexpected, and it gives each space a curated, custom feel – even in a spec home.”

Above the fireplace, roman clay walls offer contrast with their soft, matte finish – introducing a handcrafted element that plays beautifully against the stone’s polish. This textural detail appears throughout the home, adding warmth and grounding each space in artisan quality.

Steel & Stone: Balancing Edge with Elegance

Details make the difference in high-end design, and #WhisperRockHaven is full of them. One standout feature is the petite steel-and-glass cabinetry, a refined nod to industrial forms. Found in both the great room and the primary bath, these black-framed glass doors echo the home’s metal window systems, tying the architecture and interiors together with quiet sophistication.

In the powder bath, Tasmania quartzite forms a custom integrated sink—a sculptural moment of understated drama. Offset sconces flank the mirror, while roman clay walls return to tie the material palette together.

A Smarter Take on Everyday Luxury

The home’s bathrooms introduce an elegant solution to a common design challenge: storage. Instead of typical shower niches, we incorporated wall-to-wall ledges in stone slab – a cleaner, more sophisticated take that allows for generous storage and sleek functionality. Soft integrated lighting along these ledges elevates the experience from purely practical to quietly luxurious.

At the bar, the design mood shifts – moody and dramatic, but still controlled. Nero Marquina honed marble cloaks the island and backsplash, while black roman clay walls deepen the palette. A reeded panel island face and floating metal shelf with integrated up-lighting bring layers of texture, shadow, and glow.
