Our Desert Charm project in North Scottsdale is a testament to that commitment—a complete remodel that turned an outdated residence into a breathtaking retreat, perfectly suited for modern desert living.

A Complete Transformation from the Ground Up

The transformation of this remodel was truly breathtaking. We stripped the home down to the studs and completely reimagined the space. As a second home for the owners, they needed more room to accommodate extended family visiting from Canada. They loved their location in DC Ranch, and when they realized they couldn’t expand their existing home, they purchased another nearby. Their vision was for a more modern, sleek, and clean design, inspired by our sister company Camelot Homes and the model homes at White Horse and Bronco. As proud Camelot homeowners, they aimed to recreate that aesthetic while making the home uniquely their own.

A Seamless Collaboration with Alisha Taylor Interiors

For this project, we had the pleasure of working alongside the incredibly talented Alisha Taylor Interiors. Their expertise in high-end residential design was instrumental in bringing the vision for this home to life. Through a thoughtful curation of textures, colors, and materials, the interior spaces now exude a refined sophistication, effortlessly complementing the home’s stunning architectural updates.

The primary design goal was to craft an inviting living space that harmoniously blends the warmth and simplicity of a traditional farmhouse with the bold, creative touches of eclectic design. Drawing inspiration from the natural desert landscape, the design incorporated an earthy color palette and textures throughout the interiors. Staying true to the farmhouse style, the home featured natural, rustic materials—reclaimed wood, distressed finishes, and wrought iron accents—infusing the space with a nostalgic, timeless charm. Reimagining Interior Spaces

Every room in the home was thoughtfully redesigned to enhance flow, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. While some walls were removed, others were reworked to create a more cohesive connection between the kitchen, dining, and living areas. This strategic redesign improved the functionality of each space on its own while allowing for effortless entertaining and a more open, inviting atmosphere.

The heart of the home, the kitchen, underwent a dramatic transformation. Once enclosed and outdated, the space was reimagined with a more open layout, enhanced by newly added windows that flood the room with natural light. Custom cabinetry in a soft green hue, a striking oversized island, and high-end appliances elevate both style and functionality. A hidden walk-in pantry adds seamless storage, while statement lighting, warm wood accents, and woven barstools create a perfect balance of modern sophistication and inviting warmth.

The great room was designed to exude refined comfort. Vaulted ceilings with exposed beams add architectural character without overwhelming the space, while the fireplace was modernized to complement rather than dominate the room. Instead, expansive windows take center stage, drawing attention to the natural light and stunning desert views beyond. A sophisticated palette of soft neutrals, plush seating, and layered textures replaces the formerly dark, heavy aesthetic, resulting in a serene yet effortlessly elegant atmosphere.

Luxury meets tranquility in every bathroom throughout the home, each thoughtfully redesigned to create a spa-like retreat. The primary suite now features a spacious walk-in shower, a freestanding soaking tub, and custom dual vanities, all set against a backdrop of soft, neutral tones and rich textural elements like handmade tiles and brushed brass fixtures. Guest and secondary bathrooms were also elevated with high-end finishes, unique tilework, and refined details, ensuring a cohesive blend of comfort and sophistication throughout the home.

Elevated Living, Inside and Out

Beyond the interiors, the home’s exterior was also thoughtfully redesigned to embrace the surrounding desert landscape. Expansive glass doors blur the lines between indoor and outdoor living, allowing natural light to pour in while showcasing the breathtaking mountain views. The refreshed outdoor spaces, designed in collaboration with Envision Luxury Builders, provide the perfect setting for entertaining or simply relaxing in the Arizona sunshine.

The backyard was completely reimagined to create an oasis in the desert. A resort-style pool with a built-in spa and baja shelf offers the perfect escape from the Arizona heat. The covered patio, featuring an outdoor kitchen and fireplace, extends the living space outdoors, making it ideal for year-round gatherings. Lush desert landscaping, accented by modern pavers and ambient lighting, enhances the home’s curb appeal and overall aesthetic.
